Dalby House Relocation
Dalby House Relocation
Project Overview
Rather than an extension using all new materials and a visible disconnect to their current home, our client decided to have a relocated small one bedroom cottage from Dalby interconnected to the existing dwelling. This did come with its challenges, but with careful planning including plumbing and structural changes, the linkway between the two and attention to detail the ‘new’ edition looks like it has always been there.

All in the detail
Our clients vision was to expand their home but in a way that was going to carry through and complement.
Along with the the build continuing the detail in the original balustrade and bullnose verandah, the clients collection of stained glass windows, french doors and room divider brought it all together creating a seamless look. The addition of the small reading nook was a good use of space when tying the two houses together and the church doors and windows showcases the clients eclectic style.
